The Balvenie DoubleWood 17 Years Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky

The Balvenie DoubleWood 17 Years Old is a single malt Scotch whisky matured for a minimum of 17 years using sequential wood maturation. It undergoes primary maturation in American oak ex-bourbon barrels, followed by secondary maturation in European oak ex-Oloroso sherry butts. Following maturation, the liquid is married together in large oak vessels called tuns for 3 to 4 months before bottling to blend distinct cask characteristics. Bottled at 43% ABV in a 750ml bottle. Flavor profile features oak, vanilla, runny honey, orange blossom, green apple, dried fruits, cinnamon, sherbet spices, toasted almonds, creamy toffee, and spicy sweetness.
