Oban 14 YO Single Malt Scotch Whisky

A 14-year-old single malt from one of Scotland's smallest distilleries, physically restricted between a granite cliff and the town's harbour. Made from lightly peated barley with low phenol parts per million and produced using a traditional Lauter mash tun. Fermented in wooden European larch washbacks with extended fermentation cycles ranging from 60 to 110 hours to develop citrusy, waxy, and floral compounds. Distilled in one pair of copper pot stills featuring lamp glass/onion shapes with tall constricted necks and external wood-tub worm condensers. Aged principally in refill American White Oak ex-Bourbon casks. Chill-filtered with E150a caramel coloring. Bottled at 43% ABV in 750ml size.
