Aberlour 16 Year Old is a Speyside single malt Scotch whisky produced by the Aberlour Distillery in Charlestown of Aberlour, Scotland. It undergoes a double cask maturation process, independently aged full-term in both American Oak ex-Bourbon barrels and Spanish Oak Oloroso Sherry butts before being married together. The whisky is presented at 40% ABV in a 750ml bottle. The flavor profile features Christmas pudding, brandy-soaked raisins, dried dark plums, floral honey, maple syrup, citrus zest, marzipan, vanilla oak, creamy caramel toffee, milk chocolate fudge, vanilla pod, orange peel, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, oak wood spices, crushed walnuts, and espresso bitterness.
