Aberfeldy 12 Year Old is a Highland single malt Scotch whisky produced by the Aberfeldy Distillery in Perthshire, Scotland. It is crafted using water from the Pitilie Burn, known for its alluvial gold deposits, and undergoes extended fermentation in Siberian Larch washbacks to maximize ester and honeyed development. The whisky is aged in a multi-cask profile using Sherry, Bourbon, re-fill, and re-char oak casks. It is presented at 40% ABV in a 750ml bottle. The flavor profile features heather honey, sweet vanilla custard, fresh cereal malt, crisp orchard fruits, citrus peel, floral grassiness, graham cracker, nutmeg, honeyed fudge, brown sugar, toffee, tangerine, toasted oak, milk chocolate, malt biscuits, cinnamon, clove, ginger, soft wood spice, citrus oils, and a whisper of peat smoke.
