Westmalle Dubbel Beer

Westmalle Dubbel is meticulously brewed by the monks at the Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Trappist Abbey in Malle, Belgium, widely considered the definitive global blueprint and original archetype for the Belgian Dubbel style. First introduced in 1856 and refined in 1926, this living beer carries the official Authentic Trappist Product protective certification. Made with pure deep-well hard mineral water, Pilsner base malt, custom Caramel/Dark malts, liquid dark Belgian candi sugar, six varieties of European flower hops including Tettnang and Styrian Golding, and Westmalle's historic house yeast strain. Top-fermented in direct-flame kettles, unfiltered and unpasteurized, followed by essential bottle re-fermentation. Bottled at 7.0% ABV in 330ml size. 24 to 30 IBU. 86 EBC / 17 SRM color density. 16 degrees Plato original gravity. Features dark rich copper-brown with brilliant ruby clarity and dense heavy long-lasting cream-colored froth head.
