Hoegaarden Original White Ale

The quintessential Belgian Witbier, first concocted by monks in the Belgian village of Hoegaarden around 1445. This top-fermented wheat ale is globally famous for its hazy appearance and unique botanical profile. Made with mineral spring water, malted barley, unmalted wheat, unmalted oats, aromatic hops, dried Curacao orange peel, and coriander seeds. Top-fermented with proprietary Belgian ale yeast producing prominent fruit esters. Unfiltered with yeast cells and wheat proteins left suspended for distinctive hazy aesthetic. Bottle-conditioned for natural effervescent carbonation. Bottled at 4.9% ABV in 330ml size. Features very pale cloudy straw-yellow hue. 15 IBU with low hop bitterness. 8 EBC color index.
