Brand History
Espolòn Tequila was founded by Master Distiller Cirilo Oropeza in 1998 at Destiladora San Nicolas in the Los Altos (Highlands) region of Jalisco, Mexico. The brand is celebrated for its tribute to Mexican culture, featuring label artwork inspired by 19th-century artist José Guadalupe Posada. Each bottle depicts "Ramón the Rooster," a symbol of national pride, reflecting the brand's commitment to creating a tequila for the people that honors authentic Mexican heritage.
