Product Story & Guide
Tequila Cristalino (legally and technically classified as a Cristalino Añejo). Alcohol content is 40% ABV (80 proof). The tequila is produced from a blend of 100% Blue Weber Agave sourced from both Highlands (Los Altos) and Lowlands (Tequila Valley). Cooking uses dual methods: Lowlands agave in traditional stone/brick ovens, Highlands agave in high-pressure autoclaves. Extraction combines volcanic stone tahona wheel and roller mill. Fermentation uses 100% agave juice in stainless steel tanks with Champagne yeast. Double-distillation occurs in copper pot stills. The blend consists of Añejo (aged 1 year) and Extra-Añejo (aged up to 3 years) tequilas, aged in a combination of new and used French oak barrels, American oak barrels, Cognac casks, and whisky barrels. After blending, the tequila undergoes active charcoal filtration to remove color and smooth bitter wood tannins. The appearance is completely crystal clear with bright luminous silver highlights. No specific barrel toast levels, individual cask proportions, or charcoal filtration specifications are provided by the producer. The brand is a joint venture between LVMH (Moët Hennessy) and the Gallardo family, who have produced tequila for five generations.
