Bushmills The Original is a blended Irish whiskey produced at the Old Bushmills Distillery in County Antrim. The blend consists of 45% to 50% single malt whiskey and 50% to 55% column-distilled grain whiskey. Triple-distilled and matured primarily in American oak Bourbon barrels with a smaller portion in Oloroso Sherry casks. Non-age statement with components aged 4 to 5 years. Bottled at 40% ABV in a 750ml size. The flavor profile features green apples, sweet pear, vanilla cream, honey, butterscotch, milk chocolate, oatmeal cookies, orchard fruit, oak spice, and fresh ginger.
