Product Story & Guide
Tomintoul is a Speyside distillery noted for a light, fresh, fruity house style, and the Peated expression adds smoke while keeping that approachable character.
The peated variant was created to introduce subtle campfire smoke to Tomintoul’s sweet, fruity spirit, rather than a heavily phenolic profile. Unlike most of the range, this whisky is distilled using peated malted barley and then matured in American oak ex‑bourbon barrels.
Using peated malt is comparatively unusual for Speyside, positioning this as an easy gateway for peat lovers within the region’s softer styles.
