Brand History
Johnnie Walker is one of the most established Scotch whisky brands, originating in Scotland in the early 19th century. Over generations, the brand has developed a range of expressions distinguished by label colour and style. The expression formerly known as Johnnie Walker Platinum Label was introduced as the brand’s age‑stated 18‑year‑old blend, replacing earlier blends, and building on the long tradition of multi‑distillery blending to produce a refined, aged blended Scotch. Today, the same whisky continues under the name Johnnie Walker 18 Year Old, carrying forward the legacy of the “Platinum/18‑year” slot in the lineup.
