Brand History Avión Tequila was founded in 2009 by Ken Austin and aviation entrepreneur Kenny Dichter, making it a relatively new entrant in the ultra-premium tequila segment. The brand is produced in the Jalisco highlands of Mexico, specifically in Jesús María at the Lopez family's ranch located 7,000 feet above sea level, a terroir recognized for producing some of the world's finest blue agave. Unlike mass-market tequilas, Avión positioned itself as a small-batch, craft producer focused on meticulous quality over volume. The brand gained international recognition after being featured in HBO's Entourage and has since expanded into a portfolio of ultra-premium expressions.
