Product Story & Guide
Brand History:
Yellow Chartreuse was introduced in 1838 by the Carthusian monks at the Grande Chartreuse monastery near Grenoble, France. It was developed as a milder and sweeter version of the original Green Chartreuse to appeal to different palates. The liqueur derives its name from its distinctive golden-yellow color and was officially named “Chartreuse Jaune” with a registered trademark in 1852.
