Brand History
Juan Domingo Beckmann Legorreta, an eleventh-generation tequila producer and chief executive of the Jose Cuervo empire, created Maestro Dobel in 2008 in collaboration with master distillers Marco Anguiano and Luis Yerenas. Beckmann envisioned a revolutionary tequila that captured the complexity of aged spirits while delivering the crisp vibrancy of premium blanco tequilas. This vision resulted in Maestro Dobel Diamante—the world's first Cristalino tequila, creating an entirely new category that blends aged sophistication with modern accessibility. Since its groundbreaking 2008 introduction, Cristalino tequilas have become Mexico's number one most popular tequila variant in retail sales, with Maestro Dobel Diamante leading the revolution across cocktail bars and premium establishments worldwide.
