Brand History:
Frangelico's origins are rooted in legend and history intertwined. According to brand lore, the liqueur is inspired by recipes dating back over 300 years to Christian monks living in the hills of the Piedmont region of northern Italy. These monks possessed exceptional distilling skills and used the region's famous Tonda Gentile hazelnuts along with other precious local ingredients to create liqueurs. The name "Frangelico" derives from "Fra' Angelico" (Father Angelico), a hermit monk believed to have inhabited the Piedmont hills during the 18th century.
