Black Velvet Blended Canadian Whisky is a historically significant high-volume spirit known for its proprietary production methods and accessible profile, introduced in 1951 and originally formulated by Master Distiller Jack Napier. Made from high-quality corn, rye, and malted barley with crystal-clear local Canadian water sourced near the foothills of the Rocky Mountains. The grain mash is processed using a highly automated ultra-efficient four-column continuous still system including a beer column, an extractive distillation column, a fusel column, and a rectifying column fitted with copper condensers. Features a unique Blended at Birth technique: unlike standard blends that combine distinct whiskies after maturation, Black Velvet blends its 90% corn-and-grain base spirit with a specific rye-flavoring whisky prior to barrel aging. Stored in casks at 77% alcohol by volume (154 proof), aged a minimum of 3 years in seasoned charred ex-bourbon oak barrels. Bottled at 40% ABV (80 Proof) in 750ml size. Features medium light gold color.
The latest price of Black Velvet Canadian Whisky in Hyderabad is approximately ₹3870. Please note that actual retail prices may vary slightly across licensed vends and government outlets depending on local state excise taxes.
