Akashi Toji Whisky

Akashi Toji Blended Japanese Whisky is produced by Eigashima Shuzo at the White Oak Distillery, located on the coast of the Seto Inland Sea in Akashi city, Japan. Crafted under the guidance of a Toji (a traditional Japanese Grand-Master sake brewer), integrating traditional sake-fermentation and production philosophies into the distillation process. Distilled in copper pot stills that are smaller than standard Scottish models, which lowers fusel alcohols and allows for a smoother spirit that requires less aging. Components aged in American Oak Japanese Shochu casks for 3 years, followed by further maturation in Spanish Sherry casks and Bourbon barrels for an additional 2 years. Bottled at 40% ABV in 700ml size. Features amber with golden highlights.
