Akashi Blue Label Whisky

Akashi Blue Label Blended Whisky is crafted at Japan's Eigashima Distillery and is the only whisky in the world made by a Toji (grand-master in the art of sake making) by implementing sake-making methodologies into the whisky making process. The distilled pot used is smaller than those used by Scottish and other Japanese distilleries, decreasing the levels of fusel alcohol, resulting in a smooth and delicate new make that does not require as long an aging process. Made from malt and grain, aged in American White Oak Shochu casks for 2 years then finished in Sherry casks and Bourbon casks to gain extra complexity. Bottled at 40% ABV in 700ml size.
