Description
History:
Sazerac Rye Whiskey is an iconic American rye whiskey named after the classic Sazerac cocktail that originated in New Orleans in the mid-1800s. The Sazerac Company, a family-owned business founded in 1850, produces Sazerac Rye whiskey today at the Buffalo Trace Distillery in Kentucky. The original Sazerac cocktail was made with Cognac but switched to rye whiskey in the late 1800s, solidifying rye’s place in American cocktail history.
