AromaSoft, clean, and aromatic with sweet caramel, vanilla extract, waxy notes, spicy orange peel, dried banana skin, and wild honey.

PalateSleek, balanced, and medium-to-light bodied with gentle caramel and vanilla, expanding into dried apricots, figs, and earthy black tea (Orange Pekoe type), avoiding a heavy sugar-syrup mouthfeel.

FinishMedium-long, crisp, and slightly dry with salted caramel, smoky treacle, wood spice, and faint tobacco notes.

Product Story & Guide

An ultra-premium vatted rum made from 100% sugarcane blackstrap molasses, integrating reserve rums matured for a minimum of 7 to 12 years (with select blending stocks resting up to 18 years). It is exclusively matured and mellowed in Silver Oak Wood Casks and bottled at 42.8% ABV. The rum presents a radiant clear amber color with rich, golden coppery hues. It is packaged in a premium clear glass decanter molded as the bust of the legendary monk. The "Very Old Vatted" designation indicates an intentionally engineered blend of different age cycles married together before bottling.
