Brand History:
Grand Marnier Cordon Rouge, the signature liqueur bearing the iconic red ribbon, was created in 1880 by Louis-Alexandre Marnier-Lapostolle. The company traces its roots to 1827 with the establishment of a distillery outside Paris by Jean Baptiste Lapostolle. In 1876, Louis-Alexandre married Julia Baptiste Lapostolle, and together, they founded La Maison Marnier-Lapostolle. Louis-Alexandre’s visionary blend of French cognac with distilled bitter orange liqueur revolutionized the spirits world, positioning Grand Marnier as one of the earliest and most celebrated orange-flavored cognac liqueurs globally. Over time, it became a staple in royal courts and prestigious events.
