Product Story & Guide
Italian amaro / apéritif. Alcohol content is 11% ABV (22 proof) globally, with a 15% ABV version produced for the German market due to regional regulations. The liqueur is produced by infusion of fruits, roots, and herbs including bitter orange, sweet orange, rhubarb, gentian root, and cinchona bark. The appearance is luminous clear bright orange with a light velvety rounded texture. No specific maceration duration, infusion temperature, or individual botanical proportions are specified by the producer. The recipe was created in 1919 by Luigi and Silvio Barbieri and has remained unchanged. The brand is now owned by the Campari Group. Aperol is designed as an aperitivo to be enjoyed before a meal.
