Product Story & Guide
Speyside single malt Scotch whisky. Alcohol content is 43% ABV (86 proof). Age statement is 18 years. The whisky is unpeated and produced using soft spring water from Birkenbush Springs, slow double distillation in copper pot stills to maximize copper contact for a thick, oily, heavy malt spirit. The two-stage aging program uses initial maturation for 18 years in a combination of American oak (ex-bourbon) and European oak casks to build wood tannins and structural complexity, followed by an extended finishing period in premium first-fill Oloroso Sherry and Pedro Ximénez (PX) Sherry butts to introduce sweetness, dark syrup, and Christmas cake characteristics. The whisky is non-chill-filtered with natural color (no added E150 caramel). Modern releases are bottled in numbered small-batch runs (e.g., Batch 001, Batch 003). The appearance is sumptuous auburn gold. No specific cask proportions, finishing duration, or distillation run details are provided by the producer.
