Product Story & Guide

Highland single malt Scotch whisky. Alcohol content is 40% ABV (80 proof) for standard global distribution, with select US and travel retail markets carrying 43% ABV (86 proof). Age statement is a minimum of 12 years aged in oak casks. The whisky is produced from 100% malted barley and pure water sourced from the adjacent Pitilie Burn, a freshwater stream known for natural deposits of alluvial gold. Distillation uses traditional large-format copper pot stills. Maturation uses a split-batch wood aging program in a combination of ex-bourbon (American white oak), ex-sherry, re-fill oak, and re-charred casks. The appearance is deep golden amber with a bright warm hue. No specific cask proportions, distillation run details, or chill filtration status are provided by the producer. Due to Scotland's climate over 12 years, approximately one-third of the original liquid volume inside casks evaporates as the "Angels' Share" prior to bottling. The whisky has received a Platinum Medal, Double Gold Medal (San Francisco World Spirits Competition 2025), and Bronze Medal (International Wine & Spirit Competition 2024). The brand is known as the "Golden Dram."
