Product Story & Guide
Premium vodka. Alcohol content is 40% ABV (80 proof) for the standard global expression, with localized variations (37.5% ABV in Australia, 43% ABV in South Africa). The vodka is produced from 100% premium American Midwest grains (predominantly corn, making the core spirit naturally gluten-free) using low-congener yeast strains to yield a distillate with total congeners at less than 2.4 parts per million (ppm), engineered to minimize harsh aftereffects. Distillation uses a four-column continuous distillation tower with thermal rectification, where the liquid is continuously vaporized and condensed across internal column trays to isolate pure ethanol and separate foreshots and heavy fusel alcohols. The high-proof wheat spirit is cut using purified water enriched with local Pacific minerals (calcium, magnesium, potassium) from the San Francisco Bay Area, then passed through a three-tier filtration pathway: activated charcoal (absorbs trace organic compounds), California limestone (conditions spirit to ease ethanol bite), and diatomaceous earth (polishing filter for clarity). The appearance is completely crystal clear. Packaging is a minimalist cobalt blue glass bottle with a clean clear adhesive label and matching blue cap. No specific column specifications, mineral proportions, or filtration durations are provided by the producer. The brand was founded by Maurice Kanbar in San Francisco in 1992 and is owned by the Campari Group.
