BACARDÍ Reserva Ocho

Premium aged sipping rum. Alcohol content is 40% ABV (80 proof). Age statement is a minimum of 8 years, matured in selected lightly charred American white oak barrels in Puerto Rico, with the tropical Caribbean sun accelerating wood interaction. The rum is produced from a molasses base distilled via column stills. After aging, it undergoes proprietary charcoal filtration to smooth heavy tannins while preserving color. The appearance is deep mahogany and golden amber with heavy legs. No specific barrel char level, entry proof, or filtration specifications are provided by the producer. The blend was created in 1862 and was kept as "The Family Reserve" for seven generations before public release.
