Product Story & Guide
Traditional London Dry Gin. Alcohol content is 43.1% ABV (86.2 proof) in the UK, Europe, and duty-free markets, and 47.3% ABV (94.6 proof) in the US and select international markets. The gin is produced using one-shot distillation, distilled four times in a copper pot still named "Old Tom No. 4". The recipe contains four botanicals: Tuscan juniper berries, coriander seed, angelica root, and licorice root. No citrus peels are used during distillation. The appearance is crystalline and water-clear. Packaging is a green glass bottle modeled after a three-piece cocktail shaker, featuring the Tanqueray family seal with a red wax stamp of a pineapple. No specific still size, distillation run details, or botanical proportions are specified by the producer. The recipe was created by Charles Tanqueray in Bloomsbury, London, in 1830 and has remained unchanged.
