FinishCrisp, pleasantly spicy, distinct tingling warmth of Japanese sanshō pepper
Product Story & Guide
Premium Japanese craft gin. Alcohol content is 43% ABV (86 proof). The gin uses multiple distillation methods including vacuum distillation in stainless steel for delicate botanicals and copper pot still distillation for robust ingredients such as juniper. The recipe contains 14 botanicals: six traditional Japanese botanicals harvested across four seasons (sakura flower, sakura leaf, sencha tea, gyokuro tea, sanshō pepper, yuzu peel) plus eight core gin botanicals (juniper berries, coriander seeds, angelica root, angelica seed, cardamom seeds, cinnamon, bitter orange peel, lemon peel). The appearance is brilliant and water-clear. Bottle design is hexagonal with the label printed on traditional Japanese Washi paper. No specific still sizes, vacuum pressure levels, or individual botanical proportions are specified by the producer. Roku translates to "six" in Japanese, representing the six seasonal botanicals.
