Teacher's Golden Thistle is a 12-year-old blended Scotch whisky produced by Beam Suntory, inspired by Scotland's national flower. It undergoes a double-maturation process: the constituent malts and grains are aged for a minimum of 12 years in American and European oak casks, then finished in casks that previously held Islay Single Malt whiskies . The blend features a high proportion of peated single malt from the Ardmore Distillery . The whisky is presented at 42.8% ABV in a 750ml bottle . The flavor profile features honey, vanilla, dried orchard fruits, peat smoke, caramel, dried apricots, malted barley, toasted oak, sour acidity, wood sweetness, and subtle Islay smokiness.
