Johnnie Walker Double Black is a blended Scotch whisky produced by Diageo in Scotland, created by Master Blender Jim Beveridge as a bolder, smokier take on Black Label . The blend contains a higher proportion of heavily peated West Coast and Islay malts, particularly Caol Ila, and is matured in heavily charred old oak casks . The whisky is presented at 40% ABV in a 750ml bottle . The flavor profile features peat smoke, vanilla, charred oak, dried fruits, black pepper, tar, barbecue sauce, sweet smoke, and creamy vanilla .
