The Singleton of Glen Ord 12 Years Old is a single malt Scotch whisky matured for a minimum of 12 years using a dual-wood maturation profile in a combination of ex-American oak bourbon barrels and a high proportion of seasoned European oak Spanish Oloroso sherry casks. The distillery maintains in-house floor maltings and utilizes a meticulously long 75-hour fermentation process coupled with exceptionally slow distillation runs in copper pot stills to maximize fruit flavor retention. Bottled at 40% ABV in a 750ml bottle. Flavor profile features dried orange peel, blackcurrants, dark berries, toasted nuts, honey, leather, vanilla, milk chocolate, ginger biscuits, caramel, floral honey, baking spices, oak bitterness, dark chocolate, and fragrant oak.
