The Singleton of Dufftown 12 Years Old is a single malt Scotch whisky matured for a minimum of 12 years using a dual-wood maturation profile in a combination of traditional refill American oak ex-bourbon barrels and seasoned European oak ex-Oloroso and Pedro Ximénez sherry casks. The distillery utilizes soft water from John's Well alongside a 75-hour long fermentation cycle to maximize fruit flavor compounds. Bottled at 40% ABV in a 750ml bottle. Flavor profile features toasted hazelnuts, polished wood, baked apples, stewed orchard fruits, sweet dates, brown sugar, leather, vanilla, baking spices, blackcurrant, caramel, lemon zest, raisins, honey, coffee, oak, and ginger.
