The Macallan 12 Years Old Sherry Oak is a single malt Scotch whisky matured for a minimum of 12 years exclusively in hand-selected European oak casks harvested from Spain and southwest France, crafted and seasoned with Oloroso sherry in Jerez de la Frontera, Spain. Distillation takes place in the brand's iconic Curiously Small Stills, with short, squat copper pot stills maximizing oil retention for a rich, viscous, full-bodied spirit. The whisky is 100% natural color with no artificial caramel added. Bottled at 40% ABV in a 750ml bottle. Flavor profile features sweet raisins, sultanas, dried prunes, oak wood, ginger, vanilla toffee, marmalade, dark chocolate, toasted wood smoke, nutmeg, cinnamon, and Christmas baking spices.
