The Macallan 12 Years Old Double Cask Single Malt Scotch Whisky

The Macallan 12 Years Old is a single malt Scotch whisky matured for a minimum of 12 years using 100% sherry-seasoned dual-cask maturation, combining new American oak from Ohio and Missouri and traditional Spanish European oak, both seasoned with Oloroso sherry in Jerez de la Frontera, Spain. Distillation takes place in exceptionally short copper pot stills with descending lyne arms, minimizing reflux and forcing heavier, oilier flavors into the distillate. The whisky is 100% natural color with no artificial caramel added. Bottled at 40% ABV in a 750ml bottle. Flavor profile features smooth fudge, vanilla, toffee apples, candied orange, lemon, wood spice, milk chocolate raisins, creamy toffee, orange peel, honey, ginger, cinnamon, sweet oak.
