The Dalmore 12 Years Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky

The Dalmore 12 Years Old is a single malt Scotch whisky matured for a minimum of 12 years using dual-cask split maturation. The spirit spends its initial 9 years in American white oak ex-bourbon barrels, after which 50% remains in bourbon wood while the other 50% is transferred into 30-year-old rare Matusalem Oloroso sherry butts from Gonzalez Byass in Spain. Following separate aging periods, the two portions are reunited and married back together. Distillation uses unusual copper pot stills with flat tops and water-cooling jackets. Water is drawn from the River Alness. Bottled at 40% ABV in a 750ml bottle. Flavor profile features citrus fruits, chocolate, spices, orange peel, dark plums, vanilla toffee, marzipan, Seville oranges, dried fruits, sherry, dark chocolate, vanilla pods, caramel, cinnamon, nutmeg, roasted coffee beans, sweet oak.
