It is typically bottled at 40% ABV in a 700 ml (70 cl) format and is known for a soft, approachable profile representative of the Tomintoul style.
Tasting Notes
Aroma:
Soft and sweet with aromas of shortbread biscuits, flaked almonds, honey, and vanilla pod.
Palate:
Creamy and nutty with notes of butter pastry, stewed apple, almond fingers, and hints of cinnamon powder.
Finish:
Gently spiced with layers of roast hazelnut, cocoa powder, and oat biscuit.
Balance, Complexity:
The spirit shows a gentle balance of sweetness, spice, and nutty complexity, consistent with lighter Speyside single malts.

Brand History
Tomintoul is a Scotch whisky distillery founded in 1964 in Ballindalloch, within the Speyside region of Scotland. The distillery takes its name from the nearby village and uses water from the Ballantruan spring. It is owned and operated by Angus Dundee plc and produces a range of single malt Scotch whiskies.
