Founded in 2016 by Houston natives Tri Vo and Tim Penney, Fierce Whiskers Distillery emerged in Austin to challenge whiskey norms. Inspired by an 1849 quote describing the city as home to “fierce whiskers,” they built a modern, sustainable distillery featuring solar power, grain-to-glass traceability, and a five-story rickhouse.
