Espolòn Blanco is an unaged premium tequila crafted from 100% Blue Weber Agave. The agave hearts are slow-cooked in autoclaves and double-distilled using both column and pot stills to achieve a balanced and smooth profile. It is bottled directly after distillation to preserve the purest expression of the agave plant, resulting in a crisp, clean spirit ideal for mixing or sipping.
Tasting Notes
Aroma: In my tastings, I find fresh agave at the core, accompanied by citrus — lemon zest or lime — and tropical‑fruit hints. There is often a subtle vegetal or herbal undertone, sometimes with a faint peppery spice.
Palate: The palate typically presents clean agave flavor, blended with citrus and light herbal or vegetal notes. There may be touches of vanilla or very mild tropical fruit, and a gentle pepper or spice character may emerge.
Finish: The finish tends to be crisp and clean, with lingering agave freshness, a mild herbal/mineral whisper and a gentle peppery or spicy note fading relatively quickly.

Espolòn Tequila was founded by Master Distiller Cirilo Oropeza in 1998 at Destiladora San Nicolas in the Los Altos (Highlands) region of Jalisco, Mexico. The brand is celebrated for its tribute to Mexican culture, featuring label artwork inspired by 19th-century artist José Guadalupe Posada. Each bottle depicts “Ramón the Rooster,” a symbol of national pride, reflecting the brand’s commitment to creating a tequila for the people that honors authentic Mexican heritage.
