Product Description:
Drambuie is a golden-colored whisky liqueur crafted from a blend of aged Scottish whiskies from the Speyside and Highland regions, infused with a carefully guarded secret essence containing herbs and spices, and sweetened with Scottish heather honey. Only three people in the world know the complete recipe, and they meet 2-3 times per year to recreate the secret essence. This concentrated essence is so potent that just four small vials produce enough concentrate to make 1,200 gallons of finished Drambuie.

Brand History:
Drambuie has one of the most legendary and romanticized origins in liqueur history. According to tradition, after the Battle of Culloden in 1746, Bonnie Prince Charlie (Prince Charles Edward Stuart) fled Scotland and sought sanctuary with Captain John MacKinnon of Clan MacKinnon on the Isle of Skye. As a token of gratitude for the captain’s protection, the Prince allegedly gave him a precious recipe for a personal elixir—a concentrated herbal tincture created by his Royal Apothecary. The recipe was closely guarded and produced privately by successive generations of the MacKinnon family for nearly 150 years.
