Ballantines Blended Scotch Whisky Aged 17 Years

Ballantine’s 17 is a blend of dozens of malt and grain whiskies, each matured for a minimum of 17 years, with significant maturation in American oak ex-bourbon casks for vanilla and honeyed sweetness alongside gentle smoke. Modern bottlings are typically 40–43% ABV, designed for a smooth, harmonious profile that remains complex without heaviness.

Tasting notes

• Nose: Caramel, vanilla and toasted oak with tropical fruit notes like pineapple and banana, touches of milk chocolate, cereal, and a wisp of smoke.

• Palate: Creamy honey, toffee and vanilla with balanced oak spice, light citrus, subtle roasted coffee and licorice, and a delicate smoky thread.

• Finish: Long and lingering, slightly spicy with sweet oak and soft smoke carrying the malt sweetness to the end.
