The result emphasizes honeyed malt, vanilla, gentle citrus, and soft herbal-grassy notes over heavy peat or aggressive sherry influence.

Tasting notes

• Nose: Fresh lemon and citrus with vanilla, custard creams, hay, honey and light red-berry accents; inviting cereal and peach also noted.

• Palate: Silky mouthfeel with honey, toffee, apple peels, orange zest and cream, joined by gentle grassy/herbal tones, light sherry fruit and a hint of earthiness.

• Finish: Short-to-medium, clean and lightly peppery with lingering malt, oak, and a touch of lemony sweetness.
