Amrut Fusion is crafted using a fusion of 75% unpeated Indian barley and 25% peated Scottish barley, which are distilled and matured separately in new and old American oak barrels. After maturation, the two components are “married” or vatted together to create a balanced, complex whisky. Bottled at a high strength of 50% ABV and non-chill filtered, Amrut Fusion is a bold whisky with no added coloring. The tropical climate and high altitude of the Amrut distillery, situated 3,000 feet above sea level, play a key role in accelerating the maturation process, giving the whisky its rich and layered flavor.

Tasting Notes

Aroma:
The nose of Amrut Fusion is thickly oaked, with a complex profile that includes curious barley-sugar notes enveloped in soft smoke. Rich citrus, spices, creamy sweetness, and tropical fruits like pineapple also emerge, creating a layered and intriguing fragrance.

Palate:
On the palate, Amrut Fusion delivers a massive, rich flavor with a silky, smooth texture. Notes of dark chocolate, coffee, vanilla sponge cake, cinnamon, black pepper, and salted caramel can all be detected, creating a harmonious and indulgent experience.

Finish:
The finish is long, warm, and smooth, with persistent notes of oak, sweet fruit, and a subtle peaty tang that lingers, leaving a satisfying aftertaste.
