Laphroaig 10 Year Old is a heavily peated single malt Scotch whisky produced from malted barley cold-smoked over peat fires (40 to 50 PPM phenol content), double distilled using 7 traditional copper stills (3 wash, 4 spirit), matured for 10 years primarily in first-fill and refill American ex-bourbon barrels including Maker's Mark casks, chill-filtered, with added E150a caramel coloring, bottled at 40% ABV (UK/Europe/India) or 43% ABV (US market) in 700ml and 750ml formats, presenting deep gold to medium caramel color.
