Product Story & Guide
Château d'Armailhac is a fifth growth (Cinquième Cru Classé) red wine from the Pauillac AOC, produced by Baron Philippe de Rothschild SA from 80 hectares of vines averaging 40 years old on deep gravel, clay-limestone, and sandy-gravel soils. The blend comprises approximately 52-70% Cabernet Sauvignon, 22-38% Merlot, 8-16% Cabernet Franc, and 2% Petit Verdot. Vinification uses whole-berry gravity-fed methods. The wine is aged for 16-18 months in French oak barrels with 30-50% new oak. Bottled at 13.5-14.5% ABV in a 750ml bottle. The profile is full-bodied with cassis and cedar notes.
