Product Story & Guide
Cantine Povero Barbaresco Batù is a red wine from the Barbaresco DOCG appellation, produced by Cantine Povero from 100% Nebbiolo sourced from sustainably farmed hillside parcels at 322 meters elevation with yields below 7,200 kg/ha. Hand-picked grapes undergo temperature-controlled fermentation at 28-30°C for 12-15 days, with malolactic fermentation completed at 20°C. The wine is aged for 24 months in wooden barrels, followed by 6 months bottle refinement. Bottled at 14% ABV in a 750ml bottle. The profile is elegant and complex with rose, cherry, and spice notes.
