Omar Sherry Cask is a Taiwanese single malt whisky produced by the state-owned Nantou Distillery. Its name, “Omar,” comes from the Gaelic word for amber. The whisky is distilled using malted barley imported from Scotland and benefits from Taiwan’s hot, humid climate for accelerated aging.
