La Vite Lucente (Lucente) Toscana

La Vite Lucente is a red wine from the Toscana IGT appellation, produced by Tenuta Luce from 75% Merlot and 25% Sangiovese sourced from vineyards at 350-420 meters elevation on sandstone, limestone, and clay soils. Varieties are harvested sequentially (Merlot early September, Sangiovese late September), with fermentation over 10 days using indigenous yeasts in temperature-controlled stainless steel vats at 28°C, followed by 20 days skin maceration. Malolactic fermentation occurs in stainless steel. The wine is aged for 12 months in new and re-used French oak barriques. Bottled at 14% ABV in a 750ml bottle. The profile is broad and generous with dark berry, violet, and spice notes.
