Tasting Notes
AromaIntensely aromatic and dessert-forward with freshly ground espresso beans, tiramisu, baker's cocoa, and a light hint of ashy roasted grains.
PalateRemarkably smooth, creamy, and medium-bodied with nutty roasted malts, dark chocolate, and cold brew coffee; the flaked oats and lactose balance the sharp fruit acidity of the tropical coffee.
FinishClean and relatively dry with a subtle, pleasant bittersweet espresso astringency.
Product Story & Guide
An acclaimed sweet stout brewed with pale malts, dark-roasted barley, flaked oats, malted wheat, and selected bittering hops. It is infused post-brewing with a cold-brewed blend of tropical estate coffee beans from the Malabar Hills and real lactose (milk sugar) for a velvety milk stout backbone. It is bottled at 4.2% to 4.5% ABV with a soft bitterness of 30 IBU. The beer presents an intense, near-opaque dark mahogany brown with delicate ruby undertones and a creamy tan foam head. Silver Medal winner at the World Beer Awards.
