Omar Single Malt Whisky

An award-winning Taiwanese single malt produced at the state-owned Nantou Distillery, launched in 2013. The name derives from the Scottish Gaelic word for amber. Relies heavily on Taiwan's central mountain terroir and intensely hot humid sub-tropical climate, causing maturation to accelerate roughly 3 to 4 times faster than in Scotland. Strictly adheres to pure production standards with no artificial caramel coloring and non-chill filtered. Bottled at 46% ABV in 700ml size. Available in Bourbon Cask and Sherry Cask types, along with limited lychee, plum, and Black Queen Wine cask finishes.
