Ballantine's 12 Year Old is a premium blended Scotch whisky produced in Scotland, crafted from a hand-selected marriage of over 40 single malts and grain whiskies, with signature flavors anchored by Miltonduff and Glenburgie Speyside single malts, matured predominantly in European oak casks and charred American white oak ex-bourbon barrels. The whisky is presented at 40% ABV in a 750ml bottle. The flavor profile features wildflower honey, creamy vanilla, ripe pears, yellow apples, floral grassiness, toffee, milk chocolate, soft honey, stewed fruits, orange zest, nutty oakiness, ginger, cinnamon, and a faint hint of salt.
